It’s a stunning contemporary design of sharp lines and lots of warm grey tones. The design is centred around an impressive mixed use island that is surrounded by varied and plentiful storage solutions.

Now you have the specifics, hear about the best and most challenging parts of this project from a member of our design team who worked on it. Take it away Matteo.
“My favourite part has to be the island and the front feature wall. The island because it is simple, the dark wood tone works perfectly in contrast with the rest of the furniture and the floor. The L-shape bar allows you to look at each other while dining and it is the focus of the room, becoming a nice social area”.
Matteo’s favourite part of the design.
“The feature wall offers more interest than the usual block of units. The split door of the cabinets, with the glass claddings on the side, creating a modular effect, making of the composition lighter. The supporting strings give it a floating look, minimal and stylish.
What makes them even more powerful is the under the furniture LED’s which provide an ambient light that makes the glass and quartz claddings glow. The finish of the stone also creates a kind of gradient between the white base unit and the darker wall unit. The client asked for something that would have immediate impact as you walked in to the room, which I think we achieved”.
“The island coincidentally was also a challenging part to the design as it had to include the cooking area but due the lower ceiling and joists, we had to find the correct solution to accommodate a downdraft extractor without losing storage space inside the units”.
